วันที่ 25 เมษายน 2566 เวลา 09.00 น. สมาคมกีฬาฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ จัดพิธีทำบุญ เลี้ยงพระ เนื่องในโอกาสเปิดตัว อาคาร HOUSE OF​ THAI​ FOOTBALL หรือที่ทำการสมาคมฯ แห่งใหม่ อย่างเป็นทางการ และฉลองก้าวสู่ปีที่ 108 ของฟุตบอลไทย

ภายในพิธีทำบุญ นำโดย พล.ต.อ.ดร.สมยศ พุ่มพันธุ์ม่วง นายกสมาคมฯ พร้อมด้วย พาทิศ ศุภะพงษ์ เลขาธิการสมาคมฯ, ลัขณานันต์ ลักษมีธนานันต์ อุปนายกสมาคมฯ ฝ่ายบัญชีและการเงิน, นายธนศักดิ์ สุระประเสริฐ อุปนายกสมาคมฯ ฝ่ายสื่อสารองค์กร,

ยงยศ พึ่งธรรม รองเลขาธิการฝ่ายกฏหมาย, นางสาวสุปราณี คุปตาสา ผู้จัดการกองทุนพัฒนากีฬาแห่งชาติ, ตัวแทนการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย และเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายต่าง ๆ ของ สมาคมฯ และ บริษัท ไทยลีก จำกัด

ภายหลังเสร็จพิธี พล.ต.อ.ดร.สมยศ พุ่มพันธุ์ม่วง นายกสมาคมฯ กล่าวว่า "วันที่ 25 เมษายน 2459 สมาคมกีฬาฟุตบอลฯ ก่อตั้งขึ้น อันเนื่องมาจากพระราชดำริในพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว วันนี้จึงถือเป็นวันครบรอบการก่อตั้ง 107 ปี"

"เนื่องในโอกาสที่สมาคมฯ ก่อสร้างอาคารสำนักงานแห่งใหม่ ภายใต้ชื่อ HOUSE OF THAI FOOTBALL ซึ่งเป็นบ้านหลังใหม่ มีความโอ่งโถ่ง หน้าอยู่ ผมเอง คณะผู้บริหาร สภากรรมการ เห็นว่าวันนี้เป็นวันดีของฟุตบอลไทย จึงจัดพิธีทำบุญ และอุทิศส่วนกุศลให้ในหลวงรัชกาลที่ 6 ผู้ก่อตั้งสมาคมกีฬาฟุตบอลฯ ขึ้น ตลอดจนผู้ที่อุทิศตนให้กับวงการฟุตบอลไทย ก็ขอให้ทีมชาติมีความเจริญรุ่งเรื่อง โดยเฉพาะผลงานของทีมชาติไทย ทั้งฟุตบอล ฟุตซอล และฟุตบอลชายหาด มีผลงานที่ดียิ่งขึ้นไป"

"สถานที่แห่งนี้จะเป็นที่ทำการของฟุตบอลไทยได้พัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนสืบต่อไป ไม่ว่าใครจะเข้ามาจะสามารถใช้โครงสร้างพื้นฐาน รากฐานขององค์กรที่มั่นคงแห่งนี้ ยกระดับและพัฒนากีฬาฟุตบอลไทยทุกระดับได้ต่อทันที เช่นเดียวกับนานาประเทศที่เขามีความพร้อมในจุดนี้"

สำหรับ อาคาร HOUSE OF​ THAI​ FOOTBALL ตั้งอยู่ภายในพื้นที่ของการกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทยฯ ได้รับการสนับสนุนหลังจากสหพันธ์ฟุตบอลนานาชาติ (FIFA)​ อนุมัติแผนงาน จำนวน 2 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ ในงบประมาณรอบ 2018-2022​ ของโครงการ FIFA Forward เริ่มดำเนินการก่อสร้างเมื่อวันที่ 4 มกราคม 2565 โดยภายในอาคารมีทั้งหมด 3 ชั้น ประกอบไปด้วย ชั้น 1 เป็นห้องทำงาน ของเจ้าหน้าที่สมาคมฯ และ บริษัท ไทยลีก จำกัด, ห้อง VAR รวมถึง ห้องประชุม และห้องอาหาร, ส่วนชั้นที่ 2 สนามฟุตซอลขนาดมาตรฐาน ห้องอาบน้ำ ห้องเปลี่ยนเสื้อผ้านักกีฬา และห้องประชุมใหญ่ 1 ห้อง ชั้นที่ 3 เป็นห้องทำงานของคณะผู้บริหาร และห้องประชุมต่างๆ

สมาคมกีฬาฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์

ถือเป็นองค์กรแรกทางด้านกีฬา ที่จดทะเบียนถูกต้องตามกฎหมายสมาคมฯ เมื่อวันที่ 25 เมษายน 2459

นับเป็นประเทศแรกของทวีปเอเชีย และลำดับที่ 37 ของโลก ที่เป็นสมาชิกฟีฟ่า

เมื่อแรกเริ่มอันเป็นปฐมนั้น พระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว รัชกาลที่ 6 "พระบิดาแห่งฟุตบอลเมืองสยาม" โปรดเกล้าฯ ก่อตั้งคณะฟุตบอลแห่งสยาม (สมาคมฟุตบอลฯ) ขึ้น

ทรงแต่งตั้งให้พระยาประสิทธิ์ศุภการ (เจ้าพระยารามราฆพ) เป็นนายกสมาคม จึงใช้ "โรงเรียนมหาดเล็กหลวง" หรือวชิราวุธวิทยาลัย เป็นที่ทำการแห่งแรก จากนั้นได้มีความเปลี่ยนแปลง สถานที่ทำการสมาคมฯ หลายครั้งไปกาลเวลา

พ.ศ. 2459 : โรงเรียนมหาดเล็กหลวง (วชิราวุธวิทยาลัย)
พ.ศ. 2460 : "เรือนเสือป่า" และ สนามฟุตบอลเสือป่า สวนดุสิต

25 เมษายน 2566 นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญของสมาคมกีฬาฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ ที่มีที่ทำการ และห้องปฏิบัติการที่สมบูรณ์ รองรับการทำงานเพื่อยกระดับมาตรฐานกีฬาฟุตบอลของประเทศไทย ภายใต้การบริหารงาน พล.ต.อ.ดร.สมยศ พุ่มพันธุ์ม่วง นายกสมาคมฯ คนที่ 17 เข้ามาบริหารงานเมื่อ 17 กุมภาพันธ์ 2559 และได้ผลักดันให้สมาคมฯ มีที่ทำการอย่างถาวร ณ อาคาร HOUSE OF​ THAI​ FOOTBALL​ ภายใน การกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนจากสหพันธ์ฟุตบอลนานาชาติ (FIFA) ในโอกาสก้าวสู่ 108 ปี สมาคมกีฬาฟุตบอลแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์
